In the framework of the EU funded project “Technical support to the launch, development and implementation of the Zambia Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Initiative (ZPMI) and to ZAMRA for medicines' quality, safety and efficacy” Eurecna has organized the first Zambia-European Union Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Forum (ZEUPMF).

The Forum took place from 1st to 3rd March 2023 in Lusaka and was attended by his Excellency Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia and his Excellency Jacek Jankowski EU Ambassador to Zambia and COMESA along with seven cabinet ministers.

The Forum further gathered 600 participants and 50 companies from Zambia and Europe for an interesting combination of meetings and events, from political and strategic understanding through technical sessions and discussions around key areas of interest for pharma industry and international cooperation and business exchange and kick started the upgrading of the pharmaceutical industry in Zambia.
