On 21st October 2015 Eurecna attended the the kick off meeting of the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance for establishment of Sanliurfa Cereal Exchange and Licensed Warehouse” that took place in the headquarters of Sanliurfa Commodity Exchange (SUTB).
The project will facilitate the establishment of Sanliurfa Cereal Exchange and Licensed Warehouse, complete with the laboratory for testing and analysis of commodities to the warehouse. The managerial and the operational capacity of the warehouse will be developed thus creating a crucial hub for cereals processing in the region and therefore supporting the agri-business sector.
Representatives of SUTB, Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology (MoSIT) and the implementing consortium Eurecna and Eduser, together with the appointed consultants, Mr. Alexander Belozertsev, Team Leader and Mr. Fikret Okant, Key Expert 2, participated in a constructive exchange of views on the expectations and goals to be achieved during the 24 months of project implementation.
After the meeting a visit to the warehouse construction site was organized and the team received very useful information on technical construction aspects that will have an impact on the planning of the TA interventions.
